As this is my first photographic expedition to a Cat Show, please be kind! These shots are straight from the camera. If prints are required, they will be individually edited and colour corrected if necessary.

Many of the photos shown on this gallery are in our cattery which is attached to our house by a wire 'tunnel'. This cattery was built for under $300 from 3 garden arches, some builder's mesh and offcut timber, and some chicken wire. Build one and keep both your cats and the wildlife safe!

It features a small tree, a hammock (from dowel and shadecloth), benches, a ramp and narrow connecting walks.

The four cats love it and we can shut it off simply by closing the window from the house (tunnel is attached to an old window screen with a hole cut in it).

If you'd like more specific advice on building a cattery 'on the cheap', feel free to email me and I'll give whatever advice I can.

HSAA meet Murwillumbah 29 March 2008

Pictures from the monthly meet of the Historic Speedway Association of Australia (Qld Branch). We had received over 35mm of rain in the preceding 2 days and the track was very muddy and slimy on top.
However, it was a good day with lots of fun, noise and methanol smells!
These are low res images, to order please contact me by email at odille@onthenet.com.au. Images can be cropped and if a full image print is required large sizes in most cases up to 12 x 16" at least, with larger sizes to poster and A1 on many photos. Please contact me for a check an individual image.

Stand Up Surfing

I've noticed a few 'stand up' surfers on The Gold Coast in the last few months.
The first time I saw it was the very frist day I went down to try my hand at surf photography, back in AUgust 2007.
Then while photographing the Quiksilver Pro I saw 2 guys with paddles. They can actually stand still in one spot!

This gallery features seascapes, surf and surfing, and nautical themed photos, mostly taken on the northern NSW Tweed Coast and Qld’s lower Gold Coast.

Since moving here 5 years ago I have become interested in surfing as a photographic subject, and with my existing love of weather photography, the two dovetail nicely, as good surf often occurs during or after wild weather.

Most of my surf shots are taken at Rainbow Bay and Duranbah, and the date is indicated. If you have been photographed, or know someone in a photo, and would not mind your name being in the caption, please email me the photo number and details of names. If I have any famous surfers here I’d love to be told, so I can caption the shot suitably.

The images are mostly under 1 Mb so not suitable for large prints. As this hosting site is north American oriented, the printing facility is not useful to Australians. Please email at analog6@onthenet.com.au me to arrange prints or for large file sizes, you can buy a small electronic image here. I do shoot in RAW format so large files for display prints are available.

Speed on Tweed Cars 1-20

This gallery contains shots from the 2007 Festival of Speed on Tweed in the northern NSW town of Murwillumbah.

Drivers and racing enthusiasts numbering over 20,000 converge on Murwillumbah in mid-September for the annual historic speed trials. 200 cars challenge each other's speed and skill over the 1.4 km street circuit.

The Festival of Speed on Tweed is a non-profit event run by the Rotary Club of Murwillumbah together with a group of extremely dedicated volunteers. At the conclusion of the event all profits are distributed to pre-selected National and local charities.

2008 dates 18-20 September; website for tickets, car entry etc is http://www.speedontweed.com. car entries are strictly limited and usually very over subscribed, so get in early!
